Community Outreach Project
The DEPC Community Outreach Committee will be hosting a spring volunteer event on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas Clubhouse facility (4440 Brown, Dallas) located near the intersection of the Tollway and Wycliff.
DEPC members will assemble care packages to provide encouragement to children who are either currently served by Dallas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) or are college students and “graduates” of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. Many are the first in their families to go to college, so a little extra encouragement goes a long way! While Dallas Estate Planning Council and the DEPC Emerging Professionals have donated money for use in purchasing items for the care packages, members participating in this great event who want to do a little shopping on their own are encouraged to purchase the following items: Kids: tooth brushes, toothpaste, small activity coloring sets, small sticker sheets College Students: Chap stick, single popcorn bag, gum, M&Ms/candy bars, pretzel snack bags, 100-calorie almond packets Cash donations may be submitted online at https://bgcdallas.org/donate/ and https:// www.dallascasa.org/about-us/donate-to-dallas-casa/ (Comments: DEPC)
