Learn practical advice about the tax and non-tax issues that arise when fiduciaries and their advisors fund gifts made to testamentary trusts. This presentation will review the thought process to be used when deciding which assets to allocate to which gift, how to allocate post-death appreciation and income, and how to make sure that the executor documents and implements the funding.   Mickey Davis is a partner with Davis & Willms, PLLC in Houston.   He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law and is board certified in estate planning and probate law. He was named Best Lawyers’ 2013 Houston Trusts and Estates “Lawyer of the Year” and named by Texas Lawyer as a 2013 “Top Notch Lawyer” for Trusts and Estates.  In addition, he is a frequent author and lecturer on estate planning issues.
